09/28/2018: Health Care In Governor's Race; Finding Middle Ground In Senate Race

On this week’s edition of The Florida Roundup we looked at how the next governor might tackle the rising cost of health care with candidates Democrat Andrew Gillum and Republican Ron DeSantis at largely opposite ends of the political spectrum.

Dr. Jay Wolfson, the Distinguished Service Professor of Public Health, Medicine and Pharmacy, at the University of South Florida joined us for the discussion.

We also looked at Republican Gov. Rick Scott moving more toward the middle in his bid to unseat incumbent Democratic Senator Bill Nelson and whether it will work. One of the areas we focused on is how Florida's red tides are affecting the campaign as liberals try to label Scott as "Red Tide Rick."

Steve Bousquet, Tallahassee bureau chief with the Tampa Bay Times joined us along with Robert Gebelhoff, reporter for The Washington Post.
