Only  ”mission essential” personnel  are on duty at Tampa’s MacDill Air Force Base through Monday. All others and their families have been ordered to evacuate the base ahead of Hurricane Irma.

And all MacDill Services will “cease” Saturday at 8 p.m.

The commander’s evacuation order includes all MacDill residents living in base housing, dormitories, lodging and the FAMCAMP. Those unsure on whether to report for duty are instructed to call their immediate supervisors.

MacDill residents and those living in flood zone A of any county can be reimbursed for the evacuation. Information about the reimbursement benefits and updates for base operations can be found on the MacDill website, the MacDill Facebook page and at 813-828-4163.
