The Tampa parent company of Outback Steakhouse is getting creative to keep diners coming back to its restaurants. Bloomin’ Brands has invested millions in restaurant renovation, delivery, and a customer loyalty program. The company is also looking to grow its business in Brazil.
Outback’s Brazilian menu is a lot like its American cousin. But there are local touches, like South American salmon and cuts of beef that are popular in Brazil. There are also vegetarian dishes.
Bloomin’ Brands CEO Dave Deno said sales were up nearly four percent in the first quarter of this year.
“We have the potential to build another 50 Outbacks, for a total of 150 Outbacks in Brazil,” Deno told investors on a conference call last month.
Bloomin’ Brands also plans to open more Abbraccio restaurants in Brazil, a concept similar to its Carraba's Italian Grill in the U.S.
