But the city has had a number of piers over the years, including the Mediterranean Revival Million Dollar Pier which stood until 1967. St. Petersburg's most recent pier incarnation, "The Inverted Pyramid," has an appointment with the wrecking ball. And come August 28th, we should know whether voters in the city of St. Petersburg want to move forward with The Lens design.
