National Kids To Parks Push To Get The Kids Outside Saturday

Courtesy National Park Service

More than 120 thousand people have signed the pledge to take their kids to the park this coming Saturday, May 17th for "National Kids To Parks Day." There are all sorts of events wrapped around the day but the bottom line is to teach kids to spend time outside and become good stewards of the local, state and national parks.

National Park Trust Director Grace Lee said she hopes people "discover" parks they never knew were right around the corner.  There are events throughout Florida, including some in Safety Harbor and New Port Richey.
