This weekend, for the fifth year in a row, Symphony on the Sand is coming to Coquina Beach at Anna Maria Island. It's happening on Saturday, starting at 4:30 p.m.
Jeanie Pickwick is Executive Director of the Anna Maria Island Concert Chorus & Orchestra (AMICCO).
"It's just that special sparkle about being there on the beach on a beautiful fall evening. And just enjoying some beautiful music, great food and good camaraderie," Pickwick said.
She said this year's event will feature Broadway show tunes, as well as classical and popular music favorites. Plus there will be patriotic music for Veteran's Day.
Pickwick says Maestro Alfred Gershfeld will direct AMICCO with performances from mezzo soprano Robyn Rochlein, sopranos Ashley Thunder Lowe and Joy Leitner, tenor Russell Andrade and bass baritone Dan Hoffman.
