Hurricane Survival Education Can Prevent Devastation

NOAA.gov

How equipped are you to survive hurling winds and raging storms that could shred your neighborhood?

Hillsborough County along with the city of Tampa will be hosting the 2013 Tampa Bay Hurricane Expo Saturday  at the Museum of Science and Industry

The event will prepare you for when howling winds, hail and lightning strike your home. Residents will learn what to do before, during and after a storm. A question and answer session will be held with a panel of local meteorologists  from local news stations and the National Weather Service. A survivor's panel will also be there telling real stories from people who have experienced and survived a disaster.

Admission is free and will include access to MOSI's Astronaut training adventure. The Expo has partnered with Radio Disney and will provide kid-friendly entertainment and activities.

The event will take place tomorrow from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
