Hillsborough County is following Pinellas' lead. Commissioners have agreed today to restart the conversation on transportation.
The Tampa Bay area is number one. Forbes ranks it the worst city for commuters especially because of our lack of mass transit.
The Hillsborough County Commission has recognized Tampa's reputation for gridlock and has decided to start talking about different transportation options and the costs of those projects. Commissioners voted unanimously to keep the conversation going.
Commissioner Al Higginbotham said whether people support transit options is not the issue...
"The question has been the funding, the question has been the transparency, the question has been who have you reached out to?" He said.
Those are the questions the policy group they're creating would answer.
