Two people are dead following a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 near Tampa.
The Florida Highway Patrol says a tire blew out and the driver lost control of her sports utility vehicle Tuesday. The SUV rotated in the northbound lanes and went into the path of another vehicle. The second car overturned, severely injuring the driver and killing two passengers.
Troopers say the SUV then hit a second vehicle.
Northbound I-75 was closed for five hours while troopers investigated and the scene was cleared.
No one else was injured in the crash.
