Seminole Tribe Could Add Craps, Roulette At Its Casinos

The Seminole Tribe of Florida would be allowed to add craps and roulette at its casinos under a bill now moving in the Florida Senate.

The Senate committee that oversees tax issues approved a 90-page gambling bill (SB 840) on Monday. The legislation calls for a new agreement that would let the Seminoles expand the types of gambling they can offer.

The tribe's casinos, including the Hard Rock in Tampa and Hollywood, currently feature slot machines and blackjack.

In the last few years, legislators have tried to pass gambling bills, but they have stalled due to competing interests.

It's still unclear if lawmakers can reach a deal during this year's session. The Florida House is considering a bill that would maintain tribal casinos the way they are now.
