Tampa's Kevin Knox Top Ten Pick In NBA Draft

Kevin Knox II, was a standout at Tampa Catholic High School. He graduated in 2017.

18-year-old Kevin Knox was the ninth overall pick in Thursday's NBA draft. He was selected by the New York Knicks.

Knox graduated from Tampa Catholic High School in 2017.

The 2017 Mr. Florida winner averaged 28.5 points and 11.3 rebounds a game for Tampa Catholic as a senior and finished his high school career with a total of 2,760 points scored.

He then spent one school year at the University of Kentucky. 

During his freshman season with the Wildcats, he averaged 15.6 points per game.

Knox, a 6-foot-9, 205-pound small forward is the second-youngest player in this year's draft. 

According to the Tampa Bay Times, Knox is now the highest NBA draft pick from Tampa Bay.

His father, Kevin Knox Sr. was a wide receiver on Florida State University's football team and his mother played volleyball for the Seminoles.
