A portion of Interstate 175 and 6th Street South was closed in St. Petersburg on Monday afternoon after a large truck struck the I-175 pass.
The collision caused come concrete chunks to fall from the overpass, and the Florida Department of Transportation is checking to make sure it is safe.
One eastbound lane on I-175 will be open by Monday afternoon at the 6th Street South exit, according to the FDOT. Traffic is closed in both directions between 4th Avenue South and 5th Avenue South.
