Behind the Scenes of WUSF News at the RNC

WUSF Public Media mounted an unprecedented effort to cover the 2012 Republican National Convention in Tampa.

Here are some of the photos from behind the scenes of the convention and behind the coverage on WUSF.

Special thanks to the organizations and companies that helped underwrite WUSF's coverage of the RNC: Lead sponsors All Children's Hospital and The Mosaic Company; as well as sponsors Bok Tower Gardens, Business Roundtable, Eurovision, and TECO Energy.

Also thanks to NPR, which shared its downtown office space with WUSF; The Tampa Tribune for hosting us both; Bay News 9 for sharing their downtown facilities as well; and the Tampa Bay Times  and PolitiFact for making their reporters available to Florida Matters on a daily basis.

This coverage was made possible by many people who are not in these photos, starting with our General Manager, JoAnn Urofsky, and extending to our sales and development departments who raised the money to make the special coverage possible, and all the people in the business office, traffic, the website, WUSF-TV, Classical WSMR, Bob Seymour and his jazz crew, and others here at WUSF who worked extra hard to make this possible.

Thanks to the many producers, reporters, anchors, engineers and others who helped bring you WUSF News' comprehensive coverage of the Republican National Convention, including Florida Matters: The Convention and The Convention Today.
