Crist Names Running Mate In Governor's Race

Crist campaign

Former Florida Governor Charlie Crist named  South Florida businesswoman Annette Taddeo as his running mate today.  The press release from the Crist campaign was subtitled, "Successful Small Businesswoman, Working Mother to Join the People’s Ticket."

Taddeo is the founder and CEO of LanguageSpeak, which provides translation in more than 240 languages. She is the Chair of the Democratic Party in Miami-Dade County and ran for Congress as a Democrat in South Florida in 2008.

Taddeo said, "As a working mom and a small businesswoman, I am thrilled to serve with a man who has always fought for Florida’s middle class families,” said Taddeo. “We deserve a governor who understands the struggle our families and seniors are facing and works every day to make our lives better – not harder.”

Taddeo is a naturalized U.S. Citizen, born in Columbia in 1967.

She is married to a psychologist, Dr. Eric Goldstein, and between them, they have three daughters.

I love telling stories about my home state. And I hope they will help you in some way and maybe even lift your spirits.
