Gas Worx

Work on three parcels off Nuccio Parkway - with residential, retail and office space - is commencing, with an expected completion of late 2026 or early 2027.

The plan, presented by developer Darryl Shaw, would free space in the Ybor Citry historic district while offering the sheriff's office a much larger location near the Brandon mall.

Tampa Mayor Jane Castor says the 50-acre Gas Worx development is "going to transform Ybor City."

A local businessman has filed plans for "Gas Worx," a development that would be filled with apartments, shops, and offices.
