AAA Provides Sober Rides Home During Holiday Weekend

Tow-to-Go

This Fourth of July weekend, intoxicated drivers can get help getting off the road and getting home safely.

Tow-to-Go is a partnership between  AAA and BudLight. Matt Nasworthy, AAA's Traffic Safety Consultant, said impaired drivers can call this Friday through Sunday.

“Basically, we'll take care of people who don't have a sober way home. They either didn't plan ahead or don't have a designated driver," Nasworthy said. "We operate as that sort of safety net, where they can give us a call, and we'll come out and pick them and their vehicle up and take them home free of charge."

Tow-to-Go has removed over 24,000 intoxicated drivers from the road since it began in 1994.

Impaired driving on average is responsible for 30 deaths every day, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
