Mini-Horse, Dogs Provide Break During USF Finals

Is there a better way to handle the stress of final exams than by petting a miniature stallion?

Okay, it's not Wellness USF's entire plan to help students manage the fear of the last days of class, but Scooby Boo, a tiny 12 year-old horse (wearing USF green sneakers), is one of the organization's secret weapons to provide a break from the pressure.

As part of Wellness USF's Final Stretch campaign, Scooby Boo and some of his canine friends from Therapy Pet Connection, Incorporated visited the Tampa campus Tuesday, posing for pictures and getting reassuring pats from students going in and out of the main library.

Other events during Finals Week include daily study sessions at USF Riverfront Park, workshops on managing stress, massages and healthy snacks. Final exams wrap up this Friday.
