A former Presidential candidate is dropping by the University of South Florida Tampa campus the day after Election Day.
Retired four-star U.S. Army General Wesley Clark is the next speaker in USF's student-run University Lecture Series.
ULS officials say they worked with the USF Center for Strategic & Diplomatic Studies and USF Student Government to find a speaker with world leadership experience.
Clark retired from the military in 2000 after 38 years with the Army, rising to the rank of NATO Supreme Allied Commander. He ran for President in 2004, winning the Oklahoma state primary on the Democratic side before dropping out of the race a short time later.
Since then, he has worked as an investment banker, author and lobbyist in the energy industry.
Clark will speak Wednesday night at 7 in the Marshall Student Center's Oval Theater. Doors open at 6:30, and while the lecture is free and open to the public, USF students receive priority seating.
ULS officials also announced that sex education activist and YouTube host Laci Green will speak on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 8 p.m. Green's speech will also be held in the Oval Theater and is free and open to the public.
