A teenage girl who was injured in a Clearwater plane crash that killed her friend and friend's father has been released from the hospital and returned home to Illinois.
Citing representatives from the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, The Tampa Bay Times reportsthat Keyana Linbo, 15, was released from St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa.
Suburban Chicago paper The Daily Herald says Linbo was able to attend a memorial service for Jeffrey Bronken and his daughter, Katherine, this past Sunday.
Linbo was injured when a Piper PA-28 crashed on McMullen-Booth Road early in the morning of March 22. The plane hit power lines before coming to rest nose first in the median.
Jeffrey Bronken, 53, died at the scene, while Katherine Bronken, 15, died at the hospital last week. The three were flying from Chicago to Clearwater for spring break.
According to a preliminary report from the National Transportation Safety Board, Jeffrey Bronken reported a fuel emergency shortly before the crash.
