Florida Governor Rick Scott is naming Carlos Beruff to chair Florida’s Constitutional Revision Commission.

The South Florida Republican real estate developer will be heading up Florida’s 37 member Constitutional Revision Commission when it meets later this year.  Beruff most recently launched a failed bid to unseat U.S. Senator Marco Rubio.  Like Governor Scott and President Donald Trump, Beruff aimed to ride his considerable personal fortune and an anti-establishment message into office.  Now he’ll oversee a group of politicos drafting constitutional changes that will appear on the 2018 ballot.  The commission meets once every 20 years.
