The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee’s ad features  news accounts of a back-room deal Scott brokered to increase school spending and rescue one of his top priorities, corporate tax incentives.

“Some of the same companies who were giving campaign cash to Governor Rick Scott’s ‘Let’s Get to Work Committee,’ are some of the same companies who have active contracts with Enterprise Florida.”

Scott, a Republican, is widely considered to be eyeing the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Democrat Bill Nelson.

Scott called lawmakers into a three-day special session after vetoing the entire education budget as well as scores of pet projects favored by lawmakers.
