Florida has reopened 114 of the state parks that were closed for Hurricane Irma.
Another 53 remained off limits Thursday. No reopening dates had been posted for the shuttered facilities.
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection said the closures remain in place because of weather conditions or to ensure visitor safety.
The closed state parks include all 11 in Monroe County, which includes the Florida Keys, the six parks in Lee County and all the facilities in Collier, Hardee and Highlands counties.
Hurricane Irma made initial landfall Sept. 10 in the Keys before making a second landfall in Collier County. Other parts of Southwest Florida also suffered significant damage from the storm.
