The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles is expanding access to its new Florida driver license and ID Cards. The new ID is more secure and includes anti-fraud protection. 200 more service centers will soon begin offering new IDs.

Officials say the new driver license and ID cards will protect Floridians. A unique design and security features such as ultraviolet ink, make the cards more difficult to counterfeit.

The new driver license and ID cards will be available in all Florida service centers by the end of 2017 and all cards issued after January 1 st of 2018 will use the new design. But officials say current drivers license and ID cards will continue to be valid until their normal expiration date.
