Here’s an only in Florida story we just couldn’t resist sharing.
Fred Flintstone – yes you read that correctly – was pulled over recently for moving his feet too fast – otherwise known as speeding.
A Wesley Chapel man, dressed as the famous Hanna-Barbera Stone Age cartoon character, was pulled over by the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.
Don Swartz had transformed his Smart into a very detailed version of Fred Flintstone’s “footmobile.”
“Mr. Flintstone was issued a citation for speed and became unruly and had to be detained,” the Sheriff's Office joked, thanking Swartz for playing along and allowing the Sheriff's Office to snap some photos that quickly went viral.

Perhaps the most elaborate non-animated Flintstones “footmobile” was made by famed the late California car customizer George Barris.
According to Motor1.com, Barris made a number of “Flintmobiles” for the live action The Flinstones movie starring John Goodman as Fred Flinstone in 1994.
Some were built for static shots, while others were operational and fitted with gasoline engines. One of the Barris "Flintmobile" props sold on eBay in 2016 for $15,100.00.
