Earlier today the Florida Democratic Party announced the launch of a voter protection program as a result of the recently passed amendment four bill and other perceived voter suppression tactics in past elections.

Director of the Voter Protection for the Florida Democratic Party Brandon Peters says anti-voter efforts never stop and voter protection is necessary 24 hours a day.

“We plan to find all the situations that occur like this and respond very quickly with a statewide network of volunteers and literally ten thousand attorneys in Florida from all over the country” Peters said.

The program will monitor elections, pending legislation at all levels of government and aid other organizations including the American Civil Liberties Union and the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition lawsuits against amendment four.
