Veterans Hall of Fame Seeks Nominations

The State of Florida is looking to honor military veterans who have made significant contributions through civic, business, public service or other pursuits.

The Florida Veterans Hall of Fame is not a military hall of fame. Nominees will be considered for their contributions to the community of Florida and civilian accomplishments made during or after their military service.

Preference will be given to nominees born in Florida and those who adopted Florida as their home state.

The Florida Veterans’ Hall of Fame Council is accepting nominations, but the deadline is June 1, 2013 for the inaugural class of inductees. An application form can be downloaded HERE.

A seven-member advisory panel will submit a list of recommended nominees to the Governor and Cabinet. Mail nominations to:

Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs

Attn: Florida Veterans’ Hall of Fame

The Capitol, Suite 2105

400 South Monroe Street

Tallahassee, FL 32399

E-mail nominations to: FVHOF@fdva.state.fl.us

The permanent home for the Florida Veterans’ Hall of Fame will be on the Plaza Level of Florida’s Capitol Building in Tallahassee. More information is available at Florida Veterans Hall of Fame.org.
