Citing a preliminary report from the University of Florida, the Tampa Bay Times reports the state's population grew slightly in the past year, up a bit from the pace seen during the recession.
UF's Bureau of Economic and Business Research reports Florida's population grew by 184,300 to 19,258,700, about a 1 percent increase. Since the 2010 census, Florida has added about 457,400 people, an almost 2.5 percent jump.
At the peak of the recession in 2008-2009, the state only added 74,000 people.
