Make-A-Wish® Southern Florida (www.sfla.wish.org) is hosting “Dishes and Wishes: A Taste of Tampa Bay” which features fabulous food from some of the area’s best restaurants, an open bar with specialty cocktails, live and silent auctions, and a private concert by #No Filter.

The nonprofit fundraiser (www.dishesandwishestampa.com), whose proceeds will be used to underwrite life-changing wishes for local children who have critical illnesses, is being chaired by Anthony Pedicini and presented by Monin Gourmet Flavorings. Its wish sponsor is RIPA Construction.

Food will be provided by local eateries and restaurants including Besito, C House, Eddie V’s, Hampton Chocolate Factory, Maggiano’s Little Italy, Noble Crust, Palazzo Pizza, The Battery, Tiff’s Treats, Timpano, and Top Shelf.

Additional sponsors include TECO, Transportation Control Systems, Neal Communities, Heritage Insurance, BKS, and Joffrey’s Coffee and Tea.

Make-A-Wish Southern Florida has granted more than 14,000 life-changing wishes (average cost: $8,000) since 1983 for children who have critical illnesses. It aims to grant a wish for every medically-eligible child in its territory.

Wish kids most often ‘wish to be’ (something), ‘wish to meet’ (someone), ‘wish to go’ (somewhere), ‘wish to have’ (something), or ‘wish to give’ (something) and the nonprofit organization makes this happen for the child and his/her entire family at no cost or obligation.

The Southern Florida chapter’s territory includes 22 counties/four regions in Tampa Bay, on the Suncoast, southeast and southwest Florida. It also includes the U.S. Virgin Islands.
