Watoto Children's Choir Performs In Bay Area This Weekend

Uganda is nearly 8,000 miles away from Tampa, Florida. But Tampa is the home base for the faith-based Watoto International USA, which serves widows, orphans and former child soldiers who are now shunned by their former neighbors.

This weekend when the Watoto Children's Choir performs at the Tampa Theatre, Watoto International will premiere its documentary, "Restore Gulu: Child Soldier No More."

Eugene Stutzman, CEO of Watoto International USA says of the orphans and former child soldiers "those kids have gone through more hurts at such a young age than most of us as adults will ever experience and the only way to explain the joy in their lives is that their lives have been transformed by the love of Jesus."

The performance is this Sunday at 4:30 at the Tampa Theatre in downtown Tampa.

I love telling stories about my home state. And I hope they will help you in some way and maybe even lift your spirits.
