It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

Friends of Tampa Recreation, Inc.

Happy Holidays!

The city of Tampa will be hosting its annual Christmas-themed events starting with its Christmas Market and tree lighting ceremony Friday, Dec. 6 at 6 p.m. at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park.

Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn will do the honors of lighting the tree  and the crowd will be serenaded by Carl von dem Bussche and the enthusiasm of the Late Night Brass.

Tampa's Christmas Market will feature gift ideas, hand-made jewelry, ornaments and other holiday goodies and will also be open Saturday, Dec. 7 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Other entertainment includes the 31st Annual Santa Fest and the Rough Riders Holiday Parade, beginning at 11 a.m. The parade will feature floats, marching bands and Santa Claus himself. After the parade, there will be interactive games, a rock-climbing wall and free photos with jolly ol' St. Nick.
