Whether you are a craft beer enthusiast or a pro with the paddle board, Pasco County may be the place for you to be this weekend.
Pasco Paddlepalooza is a way to promote awareness for the waterways in west Pasco County, as well as raise money for some community causes.
Walter Loos is the Director of Business for Gill Dawg, the restaurant that organized the event.
He says there will be no drinking and paddling.
“They are really two totally separate audiences and attendees, almost all of the paddling events are actually tonight before a lot of the other festivities get started,” Loos said. “So a lot of times people will come and do the on-water activities first and then partake in the rest of festivities and activities after they finish paddling.”
The festival will kickoff with the Paddler's Rendezvous on Friday night with events with live music, craft beers and paddle boarding going on all weekend. Water and land shuttles will be available for festival attendees between locations all weekend.
