You can join Classical WSMR and the Sarasota Music Festival for a night at the opera (house) Friday - and you don't even have to leave your own home, as you can hear the performance live on the radio.
Host Russell Gant will be on stage at the Sarasota Opera House interviewing performers during a festival concert called “Love.”
The concert explores the various facets of love, with music by Glinka, Richard Strauss, and Johannes Brahms.
Like WUSF Public Media, the Sarasota Music Festival is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. The Festival brings gifted music students and faculty artists from around the world for three weeks of coaching, master classes and performances.
