StoryCorps Tampa Bay: Love- All You Need

StoryCorps
Rita Dudley (left) and her son Dwight Dudley (right) shared their story at the StoryCorps booth.

In our next installment of StoryCorps Tampa Bay, Rita Dudley talks about raising nine children in St. Petersburg with her third-oldest child, son Dwight. They talk about how Rita and her late husband, Bob, didn’t have much money, but still found ways for their large clan to have fun and to grow closer.

Today, Rita Dudley enjoys family gatherings with all nine of her children, her 25 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  Rita turns 86 this Thursday, the 19th  and we wish her a very happy birthday.

Dwight, an attorney, also represents St. Petersburg and Pinellas Park in the Florida House of Representatives.

Music:

“All You Need is Love” by The Beatles from the album, Yellow Submarine.

This week's StoryCorps Tampa Bay was produced by Mary Shedden.
