Floridians could add more sparkle to the Fourth of July and two other holidays, under the latest attempt to water down the state’s prohibition against fireworks.

There are various events this weekend around Tampa Bay, celebrating the Fourth of July:

Fireworks Cruise

Channelside, Tampa

July 3

Tickets include a 2.5 hour cruise, reserved table, buffet, water views of Tampa at sunset, live DJ entertainment, and fireworks show.

Jazz in July

Crowne Plaza Westshore, Tampa

July 3 at 8 p.m.

A night of vintage black-tie fashion, live entertainment, partying and dancing to celebrate independence.

Red, White & Zoo Holiday Weekend

Lowry Park Zoo, Tampa

In honor of Independence Day, members of the military (active-duty, retirees and veterans) and up to three direct dependents are invited to visit the Zoo for free July 3-5.

July 3 at 6 p.m.

Festival, entertainment and food. The fireworks display starts around 9 p.m.

4th of July Fireworks

Florida Aquarium, Channelside Tampa

July 4 at 9:15 p.m.

It’s going to be a red, white and blue weekend at The Florida Aquarium with fireworks displays, family-friendly entertainment, and all-American food options. Fireworks will take place at 9:15pm. The Aquarium will close at the conclusion of the fireworks show.

4th of July Family Fun Fest & Fireworks

American Victory Ship Mariners Memorial Museum, Channelside, Tampa

July 4 all day

Hop aboard the American Victory Ship, one of the only 4 fully-operational WWII ships in the country and celebrate July 4th with front row seats to the fireworks show, beer, wine, food and music.

Freedom Festival presented by Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel

July 3 at 4 pm

Third Annual Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel Freedom Festival and Fireworks Show. Activities include Bicycle Decorating Contest, Little Miss and Mr Firecracker Pageant, Watermelon Eating Contest and more.

The City will be hosting a free fireworks display at Waterfront Park. The fireworks will be launched from a barge in Miller’s Bayou.

July 4, 6 p.m.- 9:30 p.m.

Entertainment, dessert bake-off, watermelon, clowns, car show, hay rides, and more.

Safety Harbor 4th of July Celebration

Waterfront Park, Safety Harbor

July 4 at 5 p.m.

There will be children's activities, live entertainment, food vendors and plenty of fun for the whole family. Grab a good seat in the marina or the waterfront park. Fireworks display lighting up the sky at 9:00 p.m.

Tarpon Springs Independence Day Fireworks

Craig Park and Sunset Beach, Tarpon Springs

July 4 at 10 a.m.

Start your day off with a Patriotic Picnic at Craig Park and end your day with fireworks at Sunset Beach at dark.

Tampa's first ever country music sunset party! They are welcoming South Carolina singers with a little country twist.
