Deanna Lampasona Colon
WUSF/USF Zimmerman School Digital News InternDeanna Lampasona Colon is a WUSF/USF Zimmerman School digital news intern for fall 2020.
With an early rooted passion for writing and speaking, Deanna is pursuing a bachelors of arts in mass communications with a concentration in broadcast TV news. During her time at USF, Deanna has reported and will soon anchor for WEDQ. She has also made the university’s nationally competitive poetry team, which she gets to spill her soul into.
When she isn’t chasing a story, you can find her at the gym, cooking, or writing poetry.
Determined to find where she fits best within the journalism industry, Deanna is excited and determined to soak in the resources and learning opportunities NPR and WUSF present.
