Tropical Storm Karen is no longer - weakened to only remnants - and all watches and warnings are canceled.
The Panhandle can expect a few severe thunderstorms as the weather front approaches and there's a increased risk of rip currents on many Florida beaches.
It's also back to normal operations for the Florida State Emergency Response Team.
“Tropical Storm Karen became a tropical depression overnight. The State Emergency Operations Center returned to Level Three, normal operations this morning,” Bryan Koon, director of the Florida Division of Emergency Management, stated in news release Sunday. “Citizens along the Florida panhandle should continue to monitor local weather reports, listen to warnings regarding rip currents and other potential hazards.”
