Road Closures in Pinellas County

East Lake Woodlands in northern Pinellas County flooded

Pinellas County Sheriff's Office has put out this update as of 5:07 p.m.:

- US Alt 19 in Palm Harbor has REOPENED. Please use caution and watch for standing water. - Tampa Road west of US Alt 19 is still CLOSED due to flooding. - Northbound Belcher Road at County Road 39 is CLOSED due to flooding. -Southbound Belcher Road at County Road 39 is OPEN. - Portions of Tarpon Woods Blvd still have high water however the roadway will remain open to local traffic only.

The Pinellas County Sheriffs Office has put out this update as of 3:13 p.m.:

Portions of US Alt 19 will remain closed into the evening hours tonight. US Alt 19 from Curlew Rd to Nebraska Ave will remain closed due to flood waters. Local traffic will be permitted depending on water depths. Expect traffic delays and please use alternate routes, CR 1, Belcher Rd and US Hwy 19.

According to Pinellas County Emergency Management, there has been one shelter opened at Clearwater Community Church at 2897 Belcher Road in Dunedin for those who have to evacuate.

Sandbags are available to the public at John Chestnut Sr. Park, at 2200 East Lake Road in Palm Harbor.

Due to flooding, the following roads are closed: 

  • Gulf to Bay Boulevard at McBullen Booth Road
  • US Alt 19 between Curlew and Alderman
