Learn About The Keto Diet This Week On Florida Matters

Dieting comes up a lot this time of year as people set new year resolutions to lose weight. One diet that's become very popular recently is the ketogenic diet -- or keto.

We talk about the diet and how it can affect your health on this week's Florida Matters.

In this preview, host Robin Sussingham talks with Jenna Bell, a dietician with Pollock Communications, and widely-known keto expert Dom D'Agostino, an Associate Professor of Molecular Pharmacology and Physiology at the University of South Florida.

They explain the diet and why it's more of a lifestyle change than a quick fix.

Florida Matters airs on WUSF 89.7 Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. and Sundays at 7:30 a.m.

I cover health care for WUSF and the statewide journalism collaborative Health News Florida. I’m passionate about highlighting community efforts to improve the quality of care in our state and make it more accessible to all Floridians. I’m also committed to holding those in power accountable when they fail to prioritize the health needs of the people they serve.
Robin Sussingham was Senior Editor at WUSF until September 2020.
