Monday's A Wash - And Not Just for the RNC

And no school for thousands of Tampa Bay area students, including those in Hillsborough and Pinellas counties.

The list of no-shows and closures is growing due to Tropical Storm Isaac, which is expected to bring high winds, heavy rains and flooding to Florida's west coast.

Gov. Rick Scott has declared Florida a state of emergency as Isaac wends its way into the Gulf of Mexico. The U.S. Coast Guard has halted vessels moving in or out of the Port of Tampa.

The Hillsborough County Emergency Operations Center has not opened hurricane shelters, yet. Check here for a list of facilities.

But Tampa and Hillsborough are offering sandbags for residents.

Amtrak has suspended a portion of its Silver Service line between Miami and Orlando.
