A Florida native accidentally took the "best photo" of one of the Boston bombers, according to the FBI. The Tampa Bay Times reports that Jacksonville native David Green did not realize his photo had captured a crisp image of one of the suspects.
Green took the picture and uploaded it to Facebook to let his family and friends know that he was safe after the second explosion. It was not until the FBI circulated the image of one of the suspects wearing a white hat that Green realized the importance of his image.
Green was at the Boston Marathon attending a promotion for his athletic apparel company, 110 Play Harder. After finishing the race, he began looking for his co-workers when the explosions started. After living in New York during 9/11, Green's instincts took over and he attempted to help anyone he could.
After speaking with the FBI late Monday, he was unable to give agents information regarding anything that stood out to him. On Thursday, the FBI had learned about his image and asked him to circulate it.
