Going. Going. Gone.
That's right. There's an ongoing auction to raise money for the Boston Marathon bombing victims and their families.
Up for sale: hockey helmets worn by the Tampa Bay Lightning during their game at the TD Garden in Boston on April 25th.
The helmets are autographed, sport the Lightning logo and feature the "Boston Strong" sticker, a yellow and blue ribbon (the colors of the Boston Marathon) on the back.
The helmet auction ends tomorrow, April 30, 2013 at 8 p.m. Those and other items can be found online at auctions.nhl.com and benefit the One Fund Boston, established by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino.
So far, the Lightning report nearly 100 bids have been made with some helmets still available for a $150 bid. Steven Stamkos' helmet is currently the highest bid at $850 with Martin St. Louis' helmet going for $825 as of Monday afternoon.
