Officials say 28-year-old Daniel Lee Morris was behind the wheel of a Ford Expedition and drove the wrong way on Interstate 275 in Tampa early Sunday morning, killing four University of South Florida students.

The Florida Highway Patrol has identified the driver who went the wrong way down an interstate and killed five people, including himself.

Officials say 28-year-old Daniel Lee Morris was behind the wheel of a Ford Expedition and drove the wrong way on Interstate 275 in Tampa early Sunday morning.

Morris crashed head-on into a car carrying four University of South Florida students. All four of the students in the car were killed.

FHP says Morris recently moved to Tampa from Michigan and was staying with a friend. The Expedition belonged to Morris' friend, and it was destroyed in the crash.

Officers are still investigating where Morris drove onto the interstate and whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
