Missing Pasco Teen Sought (UPDATE)

Florida Dept. of Law Enforcement

UPDATED 6:25 a.m. 2/26/14: According to a press release sent just before 2 a.m. by the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, 15 year old Zach Brown returned safely on his own to his Land O ' Lakes home.

ORIGINAL POST 12:15 a.m. 2/26/14: Authorities are looking for a missing teenage boy who may be in danger after he apparently walked away from his Land O' Lakes home Tuesday afternoon.

According to a release from the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, 15 year old Zach Brown left around 5:20 p.m. after an argument over being banned from Facebook.

Brown was last seen by a neighbor behind houses on the south side of Downan Point Drive in Land O' Lakes and was walking along the wood line, possibly toward Concord Station.

Pasco Sheriff's officials say Brown has been diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder (multiple personalities), Reaction Detachment Disorder and Bipolar Disorder.  It's believed he missed the evening medications he takes for each malady.

They also say Brown is known to visit the woods around his neighborhood, but might have tried to walk to his girlfriend's house in Port Richey.

A Florida Missing Child Alert issued by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement shortly after 11 p.m. described Brown as a white male, 5 and a half feet tall, weighing 140 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was believed to be wearing a white tee shirt with an elaborate black design on the front, and either dark gray or black jeans or shorts, and bright red high top shoes.

Anyone with information about Brown's whereabouts is asked to call the Pasco County Sheriff's Office at 727-844-7711 or 911.
