WUSF/ USF Zimmerman School Digital News InternLeali Shalabi is a WUSF/ USF Zimmerman School digital news intern for the spring of 2021.
Born and raised in the Tampa Bay area, Leali is pursuing her bachelors degree in Mass Communications with a concentration in broadcasting and a minor in Criminology at the University of South Florida.
She credits her passion for journalism to the awareness it brings upon stories that would’ve never had light shed on them.
Leali hopes to one day become an anchor for a major news outlet.
