Before the battle on the ice starts between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday, the two cities are facing off in a corner of social media.
The City of Tampa was the first to drop its gloves and taunt its northern rival with a post on Twitter about Pittsburgh’s cold weather.
The City of Pittsburgh responded with a sunrise tweet of its skyline. Then Tampa drew a penalty by posting a picture of one of the city’s bridges lit up in Bolts blue and challenging the “City of Bridges” to a bridge fight.
