Bipartisan Pair Of Ex-Congressmen To Tour Together

floridapolitics.com
Former Republican Congressman David Jolly will tour the state with Democrat Patrick Murphy

Two former congressmen from opposing parties plan to tour Florida and hold town hall meetings about what is wrong with Washington, D.C.

Democrat Patrick Murphy and Republican David Jolly announced Thursday that they'll visit universities around the state and tell their insiders' view of why there is chaos and dysfunction in Congress.

Both were considered moderate congressmen. Murphy held a seat in a district that leaned Republican and Jolly won in a district that leaned Democratic.

Both were candidates for U.S. Senate last year. Murphy lost to Republican Sen. Marco Rubio. Jolly dropped out of the GOP primary to run for re-election, but lost to Democrat Charlie Crist.

The tour is called, "Why Gridlock Rules Washington and How We Can Solve the Crisis."
