Hurricane Irma's projected path is moving west and state leaders are urging Floridians to prepare for the worst.
Evacuation orders have been issued and shelters are open.

HOSPITALS
Palms of Pasadena hospital evacuated patients Friday. Most went to St. Petersburg General Hospital.
SMH's St. Armands Urgent Care Center closed Thursay due to mandatory evacuations of the area and will remain closed Saturday and Sunday. All other SMH Urgent Care Centers (UCCs) closed at 4 p.m. Saturday and will remain closed on Sunday. SMH will make decisions about re-opening the UCCs on Monday based on the weather forecast.
Outpatient lab, radiology and rehab services at all SMH outpatient centers will be closed Monday, as will First Physicians Group offices.
SMH is postponing all non-urgent, elective surgeries throughout the weekend and on Monday. It is up to the surgeon's discretion to determine which cases are urgent or emergent.
Manatee Memorial Hospital shut down because it's in a mandatory evacuation zone (Zone A). The hospital safely evacuated its 206 patients by Saturday afternoon. Most patients were transferred to Lakewood Ranch Medical Center. Some babies in the NICU went to All Children's Hospital in St. Pete. Manatee Memorial will assess the building for damage after the storm to determine when to reopen.
The Bay Pines VAHCS transferred approximately 100 medical/surgical and psychiatry patients currently admitted for care at the C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center to the James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital in Tampa, Orlando VA Medical Center, and Malcom Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville. This transfer activity is not a full evacuation. Inpatient operations and essential staffing levels will be maintained through duration of the storm.
Florida Hospital North Pinellas announced Saturday afternoon that it would begin evacuating patients to safer locations. The Palm Harbor Emergency Room is still open, as are all other Florida Hospital locations in Hillsborough, Pasco, Highlands and Hardee counties -- subject to change based on storm conditions.
TRANSPORTATION
Tampa city bus service will end at 9 p.m. Saturday, according to HART.
Bridges to Anna Maria Island are closed to westbound traffic. All those who need to get on the island must present law enforcement with two forms of I.D.
Entry to the Pinellas County barrier islands will shut down for everyone, including residents and business owners, as of 6 a.m. Sunday morning. Access has been restricted to people who don’t live or have business there since Friday morning. The barrier islands have already been under a mandatory evacuation order since Friday morning.
Tampa International Airport shut down operations Saturday at 8 p.m.
St Pete-Clearwater Airport closed at 11 a.m. Friday until further notice.
Pasco County suspended bus service Saturday and used the buses to assist with evacuations.
Sarasota County Area Transit suspended regular bus service and the Siesta Key Breeze on Saturday at 6 p.m.
Manatee County Area Transit suspended services on Friday. Handy Bus services were also suspended except for previously scheduled dialysis trips on Friday and Saturday. The suspension could last until Sept. 13.
The Florida Department of Transportation has suspended tolls in Florida.
Port Tampa Bay closed when the Coast Guard moved the port's condition to ZULU, the highest pre-storm condition. The Coast Guard orders ZULU when sustained gale force winds are expected within 12 hours.
Drawbridges in the area of the Port may close as early as eight hours before dangerous weather conditions, which could be when an evacuation is in progress. During lockdown, the bridge is closed, power turned off, traffic arms may be removed, the control house is secured and the bridge operator is sent to safety.
Several tanker trucks filled with gas, already unloaded yesterday at Port Tampa Bay, continue to travel from the Port to parts of the Tampa Bay area, with a Florida Highway Patrol escort.
A crew of security and operations facilities staff has volunteered to stay behind, to monitor activity at the Port.
CLOSURES
Sarasota County shut off water and sewer to Siesta and Casey Keys at 8 p.m. Saturday.
All Bradenton city offices will be closed Monday and Tuesday.
Publix stores throughout the Tampa Bay area closed Saturday at 8 p.m.
Sea World and Busch Gardens closed at 5 p.m. on Saturday and will remain closed through Monday.
American Airlines has canceled all flights at Sarasota International Airport between noon Saturday and 11 a.m. Monday, and Elite Airways has canceled its Sunday flights.
Sarasota Beaches are closed.
Hillsborough County offices and facilities are closed Monday.
The Hillsborough County Tax Collector offices will be closed Monday.
The Pinellas County Tax Collector offices are closed Monday.
Clearwater has closed all non-essential city facilities (recreation centers, libraries, city office buildings, etc.) for Sunday.
Temple Terrace offices are closed through Monday.
Trash collection in Hillsborough County will not happen on Monday.
St. Petersburg has closed all parks and recreation facilities, golf courses and libraries through Sunday.
Sunken Gardens is closed through Sunday.
The Dunedin public library and recreation centers will be closed on Sunday. Solid waste pick-up scheduled for Monday is rescheduled for pickup on Tuesday.
Pinellas Park has closed city offices, public facilities and parks through Monday.
The Florida Aquarium will be closed on Sunday.
All elective services and procedures at the The James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital and clinics will be cancelled on Monday. The outpatient clinics will be closed. The Outpatient Pharmacy is closed Sunday.
The St. Petersburg office of the Veterans Benefits Administration are closed on Monday.
Manatee County Area Transit Handy Bus services will also be suspended except for previously scheduled dialysis trips on Saturday. The suspension could last until Wednesday.
Hernando’s Pine Island Park, 10840 Pine Island Drive, is closed until further notice due to potential flooding.
All Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library events have been cancelled until Tuesday.
The Palm Harbor Fire Rescue Board of Commission Meeting and Budget Hearing scheduled for Monday is cancelled and will be rescheduled.
The City of Tarpon Springs announced the following closings: Municipal Golf Course, Sunday; Cycadia Cemetery, Saturday and Sunday; Tarpon Springs Library, Saturday and Sunday.
Bobby Jones Golf Club in Sarasota is closed starting Saturday.
YMCA of the Suncoast will be closed through Monday.
CANCELLATIONS
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers Sunday game against the Miami Dolphins has been rescheduled to Nov. 19 in Miami.
The Murray Theatre at Ruth Eckerd Hall has canceled performances of The Guys scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.
The Bryan Adams show scheduled for Sunday at Clearwater’s Coachman Park has been postponed.
The memorial ceremony for Snooty the manatee at the South Florida Museum in Bradenton has been postponed from Sunday to Sept. 24.
The Tampa Boat Show, which was scheduled for this weekend, has been postponed until Oct. 13-15. For more information, visit www.tampaboatshow.com.

The Manatee County Fire Chief’s Association has postponed the 9/11 memorial service scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Monday at Rossi Riverfront Park.
The Heranando YMCA has cancelled its 16th Annual Run to Remember scheduled for Monday.
Tarpon Springs is cancelling the following meetings: Heritage Preservation Board Meeting on Monday, Budget Advisory Committee on Thursday and the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board on Monday.
The Rotary Triathlon scheduled for Sunday in Tarpon Springs has been canceled.
SCHOOLS
Gov. Scott directed all public K-12 schools, state colleges, state universities (see below) and state offices to be closed Friday through Monday.
Hillsborough, Polk, Pinellas, and Citrus County Schools will remain closed through at least Tuesday.
COLLEGES
All campuses of the University of South Florida will be closed through Tuesday.
The University of Tampa will be closed through Monday.
Pasco-Hernando State College will be closed through Monday.
Florida Polytechnic University will be closed through Tuesday morning, at the earliest.
