On Monday, October 9th, a free lecture event brings some major names from the sports industry to the USF Sun Dome.
The annual event is hosted by the USF Muma College of Business' Vinik Sport and Entertainment Management Program.
This year's program features a trio of speakers including Brendan Donohue, the managing director of the NBA 2K League, a competitive basketball video game league launching next year.
Brittany Green, Graduate Assistant for the USF Vinik Program, highlights what the lecture has to offer: "It is basically a panel series where these elite industry professionals are actually coming down, spending their time with us this evening to share with us their past of where they got to be to where they are."
Other speakers include Jeff Wilpon, COO of the New York Mets and Tim Leiweke, who heads up a group attempting to bring a Major League Soccer team to Miami.
The lecture begins at 7:30 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Register for a free ticket here.
