Senate Aide Identified As One Of Latvala's Accusers

The Florida Channel

An aide to Senate Majority Leader Wilton Simpson was identified Wednesday as one of the women who have accused Sen. Jack Latvala, R-Clearwater, of sexual harassment.

Politico Florida reported that Rachel Perrin Rogers confirmed publicly that she had filed a confidential complaint alleging that Latvala had groped her.

Perrin Rogers was one of six women who alleged in a Politico report early this month that Latvala had made inappropriate comments about their bodies or touched them without their consent.

Until Wednesday, none of the women had been publicly identified.

Latvala, who was removed from his powerful post as chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee after the initial report, has denied wrongdoing and is fighting the allegations as they are investigated.
