Suspect In Seminole Heights Killings Pleads Not Guilty

Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office

The suspect in the four Seminole Heights murders entered a not guilty plea in Hillsborough County Court on Tuesday morning.

A Lawyer for suspect Howell Emmanuel Donaldson III entered the plea on his behalf.

Donaldson waived his right to appear in court on Monday and remains in jail without bond.

He is charged with four counts of first-degree murder. Prosecutors have not decided on whether or not to pursue the death penalty.

Donaldson is suspected of shooting to death Benjamin Mitchell, Monica Hoffa, Anthony Naiboa and Ronald Felton. All of the shootings occurred in the Tampa neighborhood of South East Seminole Heights.

Donaldson's parents are also facing charges of contempt for refusing to answer questions related to the investigation. They will appear in court on Jan. 5.

Roberto Roldan is a senior at the University of South Florida pursuing a degree in mass communications and a minor in international studies.
